Movie Time! [Part 2.5 of 3]

Okay, okay, I know y'all know that I haven't finished my "Top 3 Best Movies of 2014 that I've Watched" list.
Well, the truth is, I kind of delayed the announcement of the number one flick I've watched because it was very hard choosing from a lot of movies. I mean, sure, there were a lot of films that almost got it to the number one spot like
The Wolf of Wall Street, Now You See Me, Flipped, 3 Idiots, Detachment, (500) Days of Summer, We Are Legion, Yes Man, Clueless, and many others. However, I took great consideration in choosing the number one film I've watched in 2014, and it's great to say that the film was a Korean film.

Sure, I already put My Sassy Girl as the second best film in 2014 I've ever watched, but I decided that this particular film really...touched my heart, in a way, I suppose. Let me tell you, this was the only romantic film (aside from 500 Days of Summer) that really...got to me in 2014. Originally, I was supposed to make The Wolf of Wall Street the best film I've ever watched because...it's just fucking awesome, that's all I can tell you, if you really want to know how awesome it is, you got to watch it. Anyways, then I decided to check out more movies, this time from different countries, specifically from Asia because I'm an Asian, I was born in Asia.

After a few days (weeks) of watching some good (some bad) movies, I finally decided to pool the top 10 I've watched so far and pick the best one according to their plots, their cast, their soundtrack and so forth. It was a tough deliberation process, to be honest. There were some days I'd pick the 3 Idiots over Yes Man, on some days the 90's film Clueless reigned on top, on other days I thought that the depression and lessons of the film Detachment got to me, blah, blah, blah and all that stuff.

So, yeah, it was a thorough deliberation process, but there was one movie in particular that stunned me most of all. Yes, it had romance, a touch of comedy, action and a tablespoon of drama to go with it.

As for me, it was the complete package (well, as for the plot goes...it wasn't the "complete package" I expected it to be) and it has given me a new meaning to the phrase "Hallyu Wave".

Like all movies, it was faaar from perfect. The plot wasn't actually the "complete package" and I didn't get to know much about their past, as well as their future. Although, that leaves a lot of room for a, you guessed it, a sequel! But, you know, Korean movies I like rarely get sequels (*coughs* Spellbound *coughs*), so I guess it will be my "One Hit Wonder" of 2014, I suppose.

I'll announce it tomorrow because I'm soooo busy with school, studies and whatnot, seeya!
