Movie Time! [Part 3 of 3]
Okay, I know it took long for me to announce it, but I've finally decided the best film I watched in 2014.
Like I said before, it was another Korean film, and I can't help liking (and sometimes over-obsessing) some Korean films, mostly romantic comedies.
So, yeah, the best movie of 2014 is none other than...Catch Me/Steal My Heart!
For those of you who are "Korean movie connoisseurs", you would already know that Catch Me was going to be my number one pick by just looking at the screenshot I gave y'all.
This series has been great and I'm really happy that I was able to share my movie recommendations with you people. I hope y'all aren't disappointed with the fact that I chose this as the best film I've watched!
So, without any further ado, let us begin!
TRAILER
SYNOPSIS
The profiler and elite cop Ho-tae is a perfect case solver who has absolute confidence in arresting criminals. Staking out to arrest a serial killer one day, Ho-tae happens to witness the killer get involved in a hit-and-run accident. He follows the driver home and finds out that the driver is Jin-sook, the first girl he ever loved. Ho-tae starts to have strong feelings of love for her. His investigation principle is shaken down to the root however, when Ho-tae discovers that she is not only a hit-and-run driver but also the famed thief who’s long been on the wanted list. Will Ho-tae be able to arrest his first love?
So, the story does like this: Lee Ho-Tae is one of the best detective/cop in Korea. Her ex-girlfriend, Yoon Jin-Sook is a, well, thief. The story starts when Lee chases down this serial killer, who suddenly gets run over by a mysterious car driver (Yoon Jin-Sook) and then after that they try to find out who the hit and run driver was and the story starts.
Lee soon tracks the Mercedes who ran over the serial killer and he soon goes inside Jin-sook's house. He then sees Jin-Sook (who is wearing her facial mask) and asks her to go to the police station with him. He then takes her facial mask off and her (overly cute and beautiful) face is revealed, as well as her identity as Lee's (one and only) ex-girlfriend.
I don't want to get into the details much because you can just read the whole plot at another site or you can just watch the movie for yourself. (And because I might reveal some spoilers.)
The funniest part in the movie was the part when Jin-Sook steals an Astro Boy action figure from their neighbor and then he throws the action figure out the window crashing into, like, 4 pieces.

As funny parts came, dramatic and romantics parts followed as well. On some parts of the movie, the couple really "moved" me, in a way. I haven't been "emotionally touched" by a Korean film before, I guess it was the girl who looked like Taeyeon that added that "not-so-special, special effect" that made me hang to the edge of my seat.
Like I said in my previous post, it also had some action sequences. It's a film about a cop and a master thief, what would you expect?
Anyways, even though it was a romantic-action film, the writers managed to add a touch of that magical "Korean drama" we all know and love, even though it only lasted for only a few minutes.
For me, it has everything I like in a movie: A smoking hot (and cute) leading lady, funny actors, an awesome and unique plot, a matching soundtrack, comedy, romance, action and a dash of Korean drama.

I'm afraid to say this but I guess this is where the series ends. I'll make an updated list soon, I hope. I'll definitely add a "Movie Time!" series in 2015, that's for sure as well as a new blog overhaul this 2015! Not only that, I'll also revamp most of the scrapped series that I made in this blog, including The Weekly Potato, The Mystical and Wonderful Life of the Uneaten Cake, My Best Dream, and many more!
I really hope you all love this movie review series and I hope you had as much fun reading as much as I did. I also found some movies that I found amazing and I will also feature them soon. To be honest, it was really such a joy to be able to put such great movies together for my blog and I hope that you'll enjoy reading it as much as I did putting it together.
So, yeah, I hope you enjoy and thank you for stopping by my blog and, well, I'll see you soon!
Bye!
