My First Term: My Professors

My first term in college has come to an end and it's now time for me to prepare for the second term—time to turn the heat up.

Honestly speaking, my first term has been . . . AWESOME. I mean, it's been an entirely new experience compared to high school and, just wow, were the classes were just awesome. My lineup of professors and the subjects they were assigned to us were just perfect. I'm not sure how to start, but I'm going to talk about the core of my first term first: my professors, and what better way to start by talking about my professor who has influenced me the most.

For now, let's call that professor of mine "Miss Mina." (That's not really her name, so I'll just use it as an alias for her.) Hooh, Miss Mina has been, literally, the best professor I ever had. In fact, I don't even feel like I'm a student in her classes, but as a friend. Sure, there's still some sort of "professionalism" in her class, but it honestly feels so comfortable being in her class. I don't know, I guess it's because she's easy to talk to, or that she has a vibrant and outgoing personality, I don't really know. During her classes, I always competed for her attention, for her to notice me (for some reason). That's why I've been constantly trying to do well in her class, because I want her to be proud of me (for some reason, again).

I tried to perfect the tests and quizzes in her class and—this is true—I even went as far as to create a new Instagram account, follow her, and post my scores in her class just so she could like it. I didn't use an alias or something, I used my real name (so she would know). About making a new account, my original Instagram account was deactivated by Instagram because I ran some third party app or something (I have a Windows Phone—a Nokia Lumia 900, to be exact—so I had to use many third party apps). The only thing that annoyed me the most is that I wasn't able to use the original username in my old account because I deleted it. The joke's on me because I forgot to change my username before I delete my account, dang it.

Back to the topic of "Miss Mina," well, she's been the best professor I ever had—possibly even the best teacher I ever had. Wait, let me check: do I have any other professors who can compare to Miss Mina? No? OK then, she's literally the best professor I ever had. I really wanted to get her something for her birthday (which is 10 days from now, and at the start of my second term), but I lack the funds to do so. Miss Mina has been a phenomenal professor so far, so much that she deserves a post of her own. I'll make a post about Miss Mina soon.

How about my other professors? Next, I'll be talking about my 2nd favorite professor, Sir Paul. Sir Paul has been a great Public Speaking 2 professor and he's been one of the main reasons why I wanted to improve in public speaking. He's been a great and supportive professor so far, so much so that he's chosen me to compete for this public speaking competition. (Although I didn't win, none of the 6 students Sir Paul picked won. I'm so sorry, Sir Paul, I let you down.)

Anyway, Sir Paul is actually a really, really great professor. I like the way he criticizes us, points out our flaws, and tells us the things that we are doing wrong so that we may not repeat the same mistakes next time when speaking in front.

I guess Miss Mina and Sir Paul are the two noteworthy professors I had this term. Sure, ALL of my professors for my first term at college were awesome, but only two—Miss Mina and Sir Paul—stood out above the rest. I'm ever so sorry if my other professors are reading this only to find out that their name isn't on this list.

That'll be all for now, I'm currently on my term break and I'm doing what I do best—goofing off and doing absolutely nothing.
