Movie Time! [Part 2 of 3]
Sorry for the long wait, I had a lot of stuff to do and shit to prepare for and yaddah, yaddah, yaddah.
Okay, so let's get on with our 2nd best film that I've watched in 2014. It's an international film (Korean to be exact) and it's my favorite international film. Like most of Korean cinematography, this film sums up drama, love and a bit of comedy in a single and easy-to-follow plot.
Ah, Koreans, you guys never fail to astound me and capture my and capture my attention in a way that no other culture did. It's the best Korean film I've ever watched and the plot was extremely heartbreaking, shockingly good, in fact. It was unpredictable, you'll never know if the girl is going to leave the guy or get back with him.
What movie am I talking about?
Well, it's...
2. My Sassy Girl (The 2001 Korean Movie)
There is another movie with the same name, My Sassy Girl (the 2008 movie) and I haven't watched it yet, so I don't know whether it's a better film or not. The Wikipedia article said that it's the American remake of the Korean movie, but like I said before, I haven't watched it yet so I guess there's no way of finding out if it's better than the original or not.
Enough about that, let's get back to the original Korean film.
So, boy meets girl at a train/subway station. The girl is drunk and she pukes all over this older guy (this is one of the funniest parts, I swear) and the guy gets scolded because the people think that he's the boyfriend of the girl (because she called him "Honey" before she passed out on the floor) and soon he takes the girl to a hotel near the subway station.
Like what I said earlier, they head to the Uk-su motel near Bupyung station. As soon as they get there, the then suddenly decided to take a shower even though he wasn't puked on anywhere. Suddenly someone calls the girl (her mom, I assume) and then she asks the guy where they're staying at and what motel. Little did he know that the person who called (it might be her mother) immediately called the police and then they go straight to the room they're staying at.
Actually, after he stops showering, he suddenly has the balls to go out the bathroom without the towel knowing that the audience can see his bare ass.
Anyways, the police soon arrive and then he goes to jail for, I don't know, abducting a person or some shit.
He then gets released in the morning and he soon goes back to his home, then she hits him with this huge metal pipe.
I don't really want to give you guys the full story because I'll just spoil it for you guys out there. If you really want to know what'll happen, get the movie and watch it for yourself (or read the entire Wikipedia article).
Let's get back to the review, shall we?
The whole movie was just a big ball of laughs and romantic drama to me. The plot and storyline was easy to follow. It certainly has more "depth" to it there's more than meets eye.
I've been really fascinated on how great modern Korean dramas and storylines. Koreans really do a great job on making a storyline with drama and a touch of romantic-comedy to it.
Overall, this film is really an awesome testament on how great Koreans can form a storyline.
This post is gettin' kind of long so I'm going to cut in now.
Be sure to stay tuned for the best movie I've watched in 2014!
Seeya!

It looks like someone had noodles for dinner. |
Thank God you wore that protective, hairy helmet. |
Dang, you shouldn't have taken it off |
Now she's puking out rice? How much can one girl eat in one night and drink so many? |
It's weird on how she's drunk and passed out and yet she still looks like she can do a photo shoot. |
If there had been no passengers and this girl fell asleep on a train in Japan, she's going to wake up naked and pregnant. |
C'mon! Isn't anyone even going to ask why a random dude carrying this girl around? I mean, sure, she called him "Honey" but aren't they even gonna ask if he really is her boyfriend? |

Honey's* (Honey is) |
Wh-What the hell is up with that picture in the background? |
All that trouble just to end up in jail? If I were you, I wouldn't left that girl in the train and stay away from trouble. |
He then gets released in the morning and he soon goes back to his home, then she hits him with this huge metal pipe.
